I know what some people are saying about me – both to my online “face” in the comments and behind my back.

While the statements vary in vocabulary choices, length, tone, and intent… I think I can sum them up as:

1. He’s been drinking the commercial real estate and/or real estate investment trust ("REIT") Kool-Aid for too long.
2. He’s trying to get us to drink the commercial real estate and/or REIT Kool-Aid.
3. Both at the same time.

All are wrong.

But I do understand the accusations when REITs don’t look good at first glance.
