WM - Waste Management completes Advanced Disposal deal

Waste Management ([[WM]] -0.3%) says it completed its $4.6B acquisition of Advanced Disposal (ADSW), a day after the U.S. Federal Trade Commission granted antitrust clearance for the deal.The companies also completed the sale to GFL Environmental (GFL) of all assets required by the U.S. Department of Justice to be divested in connection with the Advanced Disposal acquisition."The acquisition expands Waste Management's reach and positions us for significant earnings and cash flow growth," the company says, marking the end of more than a year and half of negotiations and DoJ scrutiny.Earlier this week, Bank of America downgraded WM shares to Underperform as "most vulnerable to a rotation" among its peers in the broader sector that is "navigating a challenging spot over the next 6-12 months."
