Investors will eagerly by listening to a conference call from Uniti Group (NASDAQ:UNIT) to here any comments management has about a recent report on Zayo Group's bid for Uniti and its biggest customer Windstream (OTCPK:WINMQ). The WSJ reported last month that Zayo, which is owned by digital infrastructure REIT DigitalBridge (NYSE:DBRG) and private equity firm EQT, discussed a $15/share offer for REIT Uniti Group. The report said the talks came to a standstill over disagreements over price. In a presentation for its Q2 2021 earnings, Uniti said its implied share price should be closer to $20-$30+; Uniti (UNIT) shares closed at $14.22.
