The policy of the Fed, in my view, is just plain wrong. In a signal that the tide is turning, the Fed lowered its growth forecast for next year from 2.50% to 2.30% and indicated it would only do two interest rate hikes in 2019, down from its earlier forecasts of three hikes. So thoughtful of the Fed to raise rates, when the economy is already slowing down.
