WHF - WhiteHorse Finance Ohio teachers' pension fund increase commitments to JV by $25M

• WhiteHorse Finance ( NASDAQ: WHF ) said Monday it, along with pension fund State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, increased capital commitments to their joint venture by $25M .
• WhiteHorse ( WHF ) will invest an additional $15M in the JV - WHF STRS Ohio Senior Loan Fund - and STRS Ohio will invest incremental $10M.
• This brings total capital commitments to the JV to $175M.
• "Combined with higher base rates and our strong origination pipeline, we expect our incremental investment to be accretive and allow us to increase our diversification into lower-risk assets," said WhiteHorse ( WHF ) CEO Stuart Aronson.
• The JV, established in 2019, invests primarily in lower middle market senior secured debt facilities.
• The value of the JV portfolio has grown to over $280M since inception, consisting of 28 portfolio companies with a total portfolio weighted average effective yield of 10.1% as of September 30.
• Earlier, WhiteHorse ( WHF ) declared $0.355 quarterly dividend .
