Chinese EV stocks are climbing higher on Wednesday and they have Xpeng (NYSE:XPEV) to thank for the positive movement.
That’s due to Xpeng releasing its earnings report for the third quarter of 2022. That’s despite a mixed earnings report with adjusted earnings per share of -36 cents alongside revenue of $960 million.
When compared to Wall Street’s estimates, that’s not the results traders were hoping for. The EV company’s EPS matches what analysts were expecting but its revenue comes in below the expected $1.01 billion for the quarter.
Instead, it’s strong guidance in the latest earnings report that helping out Chinese EV stocks today. That includes Q4 EV deliveries between 20,000 and 21,000, which is better than investors were expecting.
