VORB - Why did Virgin Orbit stock fall today? Wild swings are the norm
Virgin Orbit Holdings ( VORB ) fell 14.06% on Thursday to give back much of the gain from earlier in the week following a successful satellite launch.
The launch carried seven satellites to Low Earth Orbit for the United States Space Force in what was the company's fourth successful commercial flight. Later this year, Virgin Orbit ( VORB ) plans to launch two satellites on a mission flying out of Newquay Airport in Cornwall, England.
The drop in VORB came with day traders showing more interest in the stock. VORB also has an elevated short interest position of 14.72% of total float and has seen options volume soar since early June.
The Seeking Alpha Quant Rating on VORB is set at Hold.
