WCAGY - Wirecard North America sold: Wirecard

Wirecard North America, a unit of German payments firm Wirecard (WCAGY) sells itself to Syncapay, a US company focused on high potential payment solutions. Transaction is expected to close by the end of this month.The unit started seeking a buyer earlier this year after the scandal-hit parent company filed for insolvency."With this transaction we have achieved an important milestone in our sales efforts in the best interest of the creditors of Wirecard AG," says  the insolvency administrator Dr Michael Jaffé.Previously: The story behind the story at Wirecard (Sept. 3)
