WPP - WPP names Reilly global chief creative officer
Advertising giant WPP (WPP +2.2%) has tapped Rob Reilly as its global chief creative officer. He'll take leadership of creative for a swath of global agencies under WPP's umbrella. The move is effective in May and he'll report to CEO Mark Read. Reilly is currently global creative chairman of McCann Worldgroup; among the work he's overseen has been the "Fearless Girl" statue on Wall Street, for State Street Global Advisors. "He has been a transformative creative force wherever he has applied his considerable talent, and I know he will have the same impact at WPP," Read says. "I am delighted that Rob is joining us as we look to make WPP synonymous with the world’s most creative, most effective and most forward-looking work – and at a time when this has never been more important to our clients.”
