XPER - Xperi +26% after earnings new long-term patent license deal with Comcast
Xperi Holdings (XPER) is up 26.6% after hours as its Q3 earnings came alongside news that the company and its litigation rival Comcast (CMCSA) have a long-term patent license deal. Xperi subsidiary TiVo and Comcast have a 15-year license agreement, effective as of the 2016 expiration of Comcast's prior agreement, and the deal resolves all outstanding litigation between the two. Comcast is -0.1% postmarket. The terms are consistent with TiVo's licensing program for the pay TV market, the company says.
