Blue Water Vaccines ( NASDAQ: BWV ) stock tumbled 41% on Thursday after soaring 200% the previous day on news the company was working on a monkeypox vaccine.
Shares of Blue Water opened at $5.14, reaching a high of $6.28 in early trading before sliding to a low of $4.13. The stock recently changed hands at $4.52 at approximately 1:45 p.m. ET.
Blue Water shares rocketed 200% to close at $7.64 on Wednesday following news its was exploring developing a vaccine against monkeypox.
The company went public on Feb. 18, offering 2.2M shares at $9 per share to raise around $20M. The stock soared 538% to close its debut session at $57.40.
