FPX Nickel CEO Martin Turenne joined SteveDarling from Proactive to share news the company has sharedsignificant news that the company has signed a non-binding memorandumof understanding with the Japan Organization for Metals and EnergySecurity and Prime Planet Energy & Solutions, a joint venturebetween Toyota Motor Company and Panasonic Corporation.
Turenne explained that this memorandum ofunderstanding outlines collaborative opportunities for the verticalintegration of nickel production, spanning from the development ofFPX's Baptiste Nickel Project to the production of nickel sulphateand cathode active materials for the Prime Planet Energy &Solutions supply chain.
Thecollaboration will involve the sharing of technical information andexpertise, as well as the exploration of potential strategicarrangements and business structures.
This partnership has the potential to provide FPX withadditional funding, which will be instrumental in advancing theBaptiste Project. Specifically, the funds would support thepreparation of a feasibility study and various activities related tothe environmental assessment and permitting processes.
