Elixir Energy Ltd(ASX:EXR) MD Neil Young tells Proactive the company is on course tospud the Daydream-2 appraisal well within its Grandis Gas Project inQueensland’s Taroom Trough in the last week of October.
The gas exploration anddevelopment company last month contracted the services of global oilfield services company SLB (previously known as Schlumberger) for theprovision of the SLB 185 rig. The rig is currently on another projectin Queensland and should be released from operations by mid-Octoberand subsequently, mobilised to the Daydream-2 location.
“We are very pleasedto confirm that the drilling of Daydream-2 is on track for the secondhalf of October - now only around two months away,” Youngsaid.
“It isexciting to be a part of the growing drilling activity in the TaroomTrough - from not only juniors like Elixir - but also from the likesof the super-major and large Australian independent who are also inthe play.
“We believe this location- in the success case - is very well placed to supply material volumesof gas to domestic and international markets in a very timelymanner.”
