Fathom Nickel CEO Ian Fraser joined SteveDarling from Proactive to discuss the findings from a seven-holedrilling program conducted in September at the Gochager Lake project.
The program yielded continuousnickel-copper-cobalt mineralization within large halos that encompasssteeply dipping chutes of highly conductive, semi-massive sulphidemineralization with an average nickel grade of approximately 1-3%.
Fraser explained to Proactive thatongoing drilling efforts have consistently demonstrated that areasexhibiting greater than 1% nickel content correlate with highconductivity zones as outlined by borehole electromagnetic surveys.Highlighting the significant intercepts, one of the drill holesencountered a massive sulphide vein that returned 3.25% nickel over a0.64-meter section.
The complexoff-hole conductivity responses detected suggest the presence ofadditional mineralization of similar type and grade nearby.
Looking ahead, Fathom Nickel plans to dedicate the remainder of2023 to analyzing the drilling and geophysical data accumulated overthe year. The company has set ambitious objectives for the firstquarter of 2024, aiming to undertake 3,000 to 5,000 meters of drillingat Gochager Lake. The goal is to further delineate the broadmineralized halos and more precisely define the zones of higher-grademineralization that they contain.
