Shares of First Financial ( THFF ) have been a solid performer over the past year, rising about 19% to a new 52 week as operating returns have improved meaningfully. These benefits were again on display when the company reported solid Q2 results last week. I last covered shares in May , rating THFF a “hold,” given its limited growth prospects. Since then, the stock has added 5%, lagging the market’s 8% gain.
