From time to time, I enjoy blowing off steam by playing classic games. One of my personal favorites is a 2002 real-time-strategy game from Ensemble Studios, Age of Mythology. The basic premise is that you pick a civilization and work towards advancement by collecting food, wood, and gold, and win battles to expand your territory. There is also the element of choosing a god, and earning favors to unlock mythical soldiers and special powers like earthquake, lightning, or a special rock that attracts huntable and herdable animals from nearby for a steady food source. It is quite a competitive and addictive game that has helped shape a lot of my understanding of various ancient civilizations....
