- Kyocera ( OTCPK:KYOCY ) agrees to acquire about 37 acres of land for a new smart factory at the Minami Isahaya Industrial Park in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
- Most state-of-the-art Kyocera facility will be constructed on about 37 acres in Isahaya, Nagasaki Prefecture, to feature new automotive and communication innovations.
- The land purchase pact includes a developed site of about 14 acres, where construction will begin in October 2023, and another 23-acre pre-developed site that Kyocera plans to acquire in 2024.
- The new factory to produce fine ceramic components used in semiconductor-related applications as well as semiconductor packages, slated to begin production in 2026.
