Northstar Gold Corp's CEO, BrianFowler joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share the latestadvancements in the company's mining operations, notably thecompletion of an extensive drilling project at the Cam Copper Mine.
The mine, which is convenientlyaccessible by road, is recognized as a satellite high-gradevolcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) copper system, locatedapproximately 2.4 kilometers southwest of the Allied Gold Zone whereNorthstar is conducting active exploration.
Northstar has reported that all four ofthe diamond drill holes completed, covering a total of 720 meters, encountered significant lenses of copper-rich VMS deposits. Notably, between the depths of 116.55 meters and 119 meters in Zone 2, thedrilling cut through massive and stringer chalcopyrite formations overa 2.45-meter section.
While theanalytical results from these drills are still forthcoming, they areanticipated in the near future.
Fowler expressed to Proactive that the initial sampling andPhase I drill outcomes from the 2023 explorations solidly confirm theexistence of a significant, multi-layered high-grade copper VMS systemwithin the Cam Copper Mine. This system shows remarkable potential forexpansion.
With the necessary permits already secured,Northstar is strategically positioned to proceed with the explorationof the southeastern strike and the down-plunge extensions of the CamCopper massive sulphide zones in the upcoming Phase II of theirdrilling program. This next phase is set to delve deeper into thegeological structure, aiming to uncover the full extent and richnessof the copper deposits present.
