- According to people with direct knowledge of the matter, Bain Capital has emerged as the frontrunner for the unit which makes microscopes, industrial endoscopes and x-ray analysers, said people familiar with the matter,
- Carlyle Group and KKR & Co also submitted binding bids for the unit this month.
- Olympus ( OTCPK:OCPNF ) has been restructuring in recent years to focus solely on medical technology. If a deal materializes, it would be the company's biggest divestment to date, according to Refinitiv data.
