Sarytogan Graphite Ltd (ASX:SGY) CEOSean Gregory sits down with Jonathan Jackson to discuss a majortechnical milestone with Sarytogan’s graphite now used inlithium-ion batteries. The first lithium-ion batteries have been madeusing the company’s uncoated spherical purified graphite (USPG),with early tests indicating they outperform many existing syntheticgraphite anodes used in electric vehicles. Not only did the companypost excellent capacity results, the batteries demonstratedsignificant repeatability and consistency across all tests, with nonoticeable performance degradation after multiple charge and dischargecycles. Sarytogan now plans to continue long-term testing on USPGcells and start a second round of tests on coated spherical purifiedgraphite (CSPG), which involves a surface coating process expected tofurther enhance battery performance. Finally, Gregory speaks about theupcoming PFS, due in Q3, which will highlight its low cost base andhigh revenue outcomes.
“Sarytogan Graphite is proving itself to be a uniquecombination of high performance and lower costs due to itsexceptionally high-grade microcrystalline nature,” Gregorysaid.
“Investors can lookforward to the well-advanced pre-feasibility study quantifying theanticipated financial returns associated with the long list ofsuperlatives that the Sarytogan graphite depositcommands.”
