Sintana Energy Inc President Robert Bosejoined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with details of the latestprogress with its Orange Basin exploration licenses.
Custos Energy, in which Sintana Energyholds a 49% indirect interest, has confirmed that the Mopane 2Xexploration well located on blocks governed by PEL 83 has been spud.Custos owns a 10% working interest in PEL 83 which is being operatedby Galp during the exploration phase.
Meanwhile, at PEL 90, an affiliate of Chevron Corporation hasfiled an application for an Environment Clearance Certificate with theMinistry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism for the Republic ofNamibia. The certificate would allow for the drilling of up to fiveexploration and five appraisal wells beginning in the fourth quarterof 2024 on block 2813B, which is governed by PEL 90.
The company, through its investment inInterOil, holds a 49% indirect interest in Trago Energy, which is a10% working interest owner in PEL 90.
