Despite a lack of substantial news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) and the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) climbed in anticipation of renewed talks with China on Thursday. Technology stocks led the market upward, and all sectors rose.
