- The Biden administration Thursday said it will allow states on August 22 to begin placeing orders for 1.8M additional doses of Bavarian Nordic's ( OTCPK:BVNKF ) Jynneos monkeypox vaccine.
- The White House noted that jurisdictions that are administering the shot intradermally -- using one-fifth of the normal amount -- vs. subcutaneously and have exhausted at least 90% of their supply are eligible to order.
- Also, HHS is starting a pilot program that is setting aside 50K doses of Jynneos from the National Strategic Stockpile to distribute for administration at gay pride and similar events.
- Bavarian Nordic ( OTCPK:BVNRY ) on Thursday said that it inked a deal with U.S. contract manufacturer Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing for fill and finish of the Jynneos vaccine in Michigan .
