SolarEdge Technologies ( SEDG ) and Enphase Energy ( ENPH ) have now given up their massive post-pandemic gains, and then some. In fact, SolarEdge is now underperforming both the S&P 500 Index ( SP500 ) and the iShares Global Clean Energy ETF ( ICLN ) when looking at total returns over the past decade. For its part, Enphase is still outperforming the ICLN ETF but is now also underperforming when compared to the S&P 500 over the past decade. This is in large part due to regulations and economic conditions going from being massive tailwinds to now being significant headwinds. Regulations have changed unfavorably in the U.S. and Europe, while interest rates have markedly increased, and tariffs have further complicated things for the industry....
