Investment Thesis

We believe that the artificial intelligence transformation is in the very early stages, with massive potential for use cases that will have an impact on nearly every sector and all aspects of our daily lives, from driving a car to stocking a warehouse to running a business. The TCW Artificial Intelligence ETF ( AIFD ) is an actively managed, conviction-weighted, concentrated ETF that seeks to invest in companies that are leading the development and commercialization of artificial intelligence. We identified key sub-themes that we believe offer a strong investment opportunity as companies and consumers continue to develop and adopt AI and build the infrastructure and technology that enables it. These themes include:

• AI Enablers, the physical infrastructure on which AI models are built, trained, and run;
• AI Systems, the actual model and/or application of AI to a specific use case or as a general tool;
• AI Adopters, companies that use commercial AI to disrupt their industry and create a competitive advantage for themselves.
