Since our last update on Virtus Total Return Fund ( ZTR ) in September 2024, it has delivered strong results. Some of this has been through the discount narrowing; that is, the fund's share price has outpaced the underlying portfolio returns. However, the fund still remains at a rather historically deep discount, even with some of that contraction.
