AOD: Elevated Valuation And Flawed Portfolio Structure

Overview

When I previously covered the abrdn Total Dynamic Dividend Fund ( AOD ), I issued a hold rating because of the expensive valuation at the time. Since then, the share price has increased, and the fund has managed to maintain a total return that stayed nearly on par with the S&P 500. Now that we're approaching the midpoint of the year, I thought it would be a good time to reassess the fund's valuation and outlook through the remainder of the year. AOD provides direct exposure to some of the highest quality companies in the world, but I think that the market sentiment is shifting and there are some renewed risks....
