As market indexes hover near their all-time highs, it can be scary to accumulate equities at this time. However, there are many attractive opportunities across income funds as valuations remain suppressed due to higher interest rates. Advent Convertible & Income Fund ( AVK ) takes a hybrid approach by utilizing convertible securities that can both generate income and participate in market rallies. When I previously covered AVK, I issued a hold rating due to the high use of leverage that limits growth potential.
