The XAI Octagon Floating Rate & Alternative Income Trust ( XFLT ) announced it will redeem its Series A preferred ( XFLT.PR.A ). There are only a few months left until maturity, so it's not a huge surprise. The stock has been a great dry-powder asset while delivering a yield of around 7.5% since it was added about 6 months ago to our Income Portfolios. With it going away, we are on the lookout for other dry-powder securities with yields north of 7%....
