I have been covering cannabis stocks for more than a dozen years, and I remember when Amplify Alternative Harvest ETF ( MJ ) came out in late 2017. It had a different name then, as I discuss below, but the same awesome ticker in early 2018. It was not the first cannabis ETF, but it was the first one to trade on the NYSE Arca. Until recently, it has not been a pretty performance:
