Germanium Mining Corp. Begins Remote Sensing Work On Its Lac Du Km 35 Property In Chibougamau Area, Quebec

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, JANUARY9, 2026 – TheNewswire- GERMANIUM MINING CORP.(“GERMANIUM MINING” OR THE “COMPANY”) (CSE: GMC; OTCQB: EMSKF;FSE: 1I30) is pleased to announce that it hascommenced remote sensing work on its Lac Du Km 35 Property, located inthe Chibougamau area, Quebec.

Description of the Lac du Km 35 Property Regional Setting

The Property comprises the prominent Faribault ShearZone (“FSZ”), oriented east-southeast, and located towards theeastern part of the Property.  The FSZ dips to the south-southwestand ends at the Grenville Front which extends southwest-northeast forseveral hundreds of kilometres. The FSZ is a key structural featurethat may connect with other permeable zones at depth, acting as apreferential conduit for hydrothermal fluids.

Discovered by government geologists in 1998 and neverfollowed up, the Laganière germanium showing consists of a peridotiteoutcrop within the Laganière gneissic Complex that comprisesamphibolites and hornblende and biotite gneisses.  The Laganièreshowing returned a value of 0.02% (186 ppm) germanium. These results are considered historical in nature.A qualified person has not completed sufficient work toverify these historical results, and the Company is not treating thesehistorical results as current mineral resources or mineral reserves.

The Laganière germanium showing lies beside the mainlumber road and immediately adjacent to the south to a cluster ofelectromagnetic anomalies of roughly 400 m x 400 m in size that werenever tested.  The Laganière germanium showing is also 450 mnortheast of the FSZ, 800 m from the southern margin of the Dubergerfelsic pluton and approximately 2 km to the west of the GrenvilleFront. The area between the FSZ and the Laganière Germanium showing,including the never tested cluster of electromagnetic anomalies, willbe the main focus of GMC.

Satellite Imagery Study

The remote sensing work is expected to be completed byend of February 2026 and will consist of outlining potential faults,shear zones and related secondary structural features that may beassociated with germanium mineralization.  

The Company intends to complete a satellite imagerystudy using ESA (European Space Agency) PNEO satellites constellationwith panchromatic data of 30 cm in resolution, acquired in September2023.  Algorithms will be applied on these images in order topinpoint relevant structural bodies, including intrusions, variablydipping dykes and lenticular-shaped elements.

The information will be transferred to a GIS system anda series of maps at scale 1:5,000 will be generated.  Precisesatellite image interpreted structural features will be correlatedwith existing data for generating targeted areas that will be followedup on the field in the upcoming sampling program in the summer of2026.
