Frontera Energy ( FECCF ) is finishing the sale of its Colombian business as was reported in the last article . Since the last offer, Parex came along with a superior offer which replaced the offer covered in the last article. The combination of rising commodity prices and this sale has combined to produce an unexpected boost to the stock price. Nevertheless, the buyer, Parex Resources ( PARXF ) is likely to benefit far more from this transaction in an atmosphere of strong commodity prices than is Frontera. In general, I have written about a lot of above average managements that have happened to do deals like Parex has done and are now positioned for some decent production increases to take additional advantage of higher commodity prices. ...
