Seeing the title of this article, some of you might probably think that I am seriously missing something about how the covered call ETFs work. Usually, whenever we have had larger drawdowns, most of these vehicles have followed the declining market. In addition, the fact that covered call ETFs tend to yield above 10% does not make the case for portfolio protection stronger. We could even make a case that it makes things even more suspicious....
