Investment Thesis
Since I last covered Höegh Autoliners ASA (HOEGF) ( April 2024 ), it has continued on its trajectory of prudent management, offering investors a well-managed and financially solid company with attractive dividend yields. It has no significant maturities until 2030 and a net debt ratio of 30 percent. Unfortunately, market dynamics have also changed in the meantime. Proposed changes to U.S. international trade policy continue to negatively impact companies such as HOEGF. Geopolitical tensions have not abated, with the war in Ukraine continuing, the Red Sea remaining closed, and counter-parties to the U.S., such as China, taking part in the trade war by issuing tariffs of their own. ...
