Matthews International ( MATW ) just had a development that is of relevance for shareholders with respect to the activist presence from Barington. While they remain invested, a standstill agreement is now in place that is seeing Barington withdraw its board nomination proposal and agreeing not to disrupt things for two years to let the current board play things out. Barington is also being compensated with $750k for out-of-pocket expenses related to the activist campaign, relative to $133m in AUM ....
