Mitek Systems ( MITK ) launched its Check Fraud Defender which is AI cloud platform inspecting Cheque forgery in real-time, yet the company's real value is in its constirium which covers over 50% of U.S checking banks, as in the traditional system if a bank discovered a fraud attempt of a forged check it will only protect itself but with using MITK's consortium, this info will be sent to its cloud platform within a fraction of second so all other banks in the constirium will know about it. This advantage creates a strong moat for Mitek and makes it harder for competitors, as the more banks join the consortium, the more powerful the system becomes and also the less able fraudsters are to penetrate it.
