The Templeton Emerging Markets Income Fund ( TEI ) is a closed-end fund that may attract some investors with either a need or a desire to earn a high level of income from the assets in their portfolios. The fund certainly manages to do pretty well at providing its investors with a substantial amount of income, as the fund boasts a 9.39% yield at the current share price. This is a far better yield than any of the major domestic or international bond indices can currently boast:
