Back in August of this year, I made the decision to upgrade a company that means a lot to me. This firm, National Presto Industries ( NPK ), has a special place in my heart because it was one of the first five companies that I ever invested in. This was back in college, around 2009 if memory serves me right. And even though I no longer remember how that investment turned out, the company has always been important to me. It has pained me that I could not be bullish about it for quite some time. But in August, with its Defense segment experiencing explosive backlog growth, I finally determined that the price was worth it even if the stock was not all that cheap....
