Introduction
Trying to tap into investor’s appetite for ETFs, I am sure that motived Nuveen to launch the Nuveen Growth Opportunities ETF ( NUGO ) about four years ago. I suspect with the dominance of the Magnificent Seven, they focused their new ETF on growth stocks. To see if investors were rewarded by owning NUGO over a similar ETF with minimal fees, here I compare holdings and results against the iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF ( IWF ). I included the iShares Russell 1000 ETF ( IWB ) as I only will hold a specialized ETF if it provides Alpha over the ETF invested in the same but unrestricted universe of stocks....
