Birchcliff ( BIR:CA ), ( BIREF ) is the second most cost-efficient significant Canadian gas producer, sitting at C$1.33/Mcf (opex+transport). It is still competitive across the entire peer group, but still above Peyto's ( PEY:CA ), ( PEYUF ) C$0.82/Mcf. The entire gap is almost entirely made up of transportation costs associated with moving Montney gas to market....
