The New Zealand government has introduced the Online Casino Gambling Bill, which will create a regulated market for online casinos by issuing up to 15 licenses to operators. The bill allows up to 15 online casino licenses to be granted through a competitive process, likely beginning in 2026. The bill sets out that licensed operators can advertise, but with strict harm minimization and consumer protection requirements.
