Main Thesis & Background
The purpose of this article is to evaluate the macro-backdrop with a focus on the municipal (muni) bond sector. This is a timely review in my opinion because the Federal Reserve here in the US has finally begun its rate cutting cycle, starting last month in September. This is consistent with other developed markets around the world in that the higher for longer interest rate environment is starting to reverse course:
