RLI Corp. ( RLI ) has had some weak price performance in a rather uncharacteristic showing for this specialty insurance stalwart. The reasons for the pressures on the stock appear to be from factors that have been telegraphed for a long time by RLI management, namely less discipline by competitors in E&S property concerning things like the hurricane market. Of course, RLI is maintaining discipline. Investment income was also quite strong this quarter....
