Traction Uranium Reports Multiple Radiometric Anomalies from Airborne Survey at the Aurora Uranium Project
MWN-AI** Summary
Traction Uranium Corp. (CSE: TRAC) (OTC: TRCTF) (FRA: Z1K) has announced promising results from a high-resolution airborne radiometric and magnetic survey conducted over its Aurora Uranium Project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin. The survey, executed by Special Projects Inc. under the guidance of Cosa Resources Corp. (the project's operator), uncovered multiple radiometric anomalies that could correlate to uranium-bearing sources, notably situated near previously identified prospective basement features.
The survey utilized a meticulous approach with 50-metre line spacing, yielding detailed datasets that enhance the understanding of the basement geology. This new information, when combined with past survey data from Cosa, highlights several areas for subsequent exploration efforts. The discovery of radiometric anomalies enhances the project's potential, attracting attention for further investigation and potential drilling.
Traction Uranium holds an option to secure up to an 80% interest in the project, contingent on meeting specific conditions. The company's CEO, Jared Suchan, emphasized the significance of these findings, indicating that they transition Aurora from a phase of data acquisition to one focused on target refinement. Ground truthing of key anomalies is on the agenda to validate survey outcomes and bolster target prioritization for forthcoming drilling programs.
Traction U's commitment to mineral exploration in Canada, particularly in the renowned Athabasca region, continues to gather momentum as they seek to define their prospects further. Meanwhile, the collaboration with Cosa Resources, known for its experienced management team and successful exploration history, positions Traction to capitalize on potential discoveries in this extensive and promising uranium corridor.
MWN-AI** Analysis
Traction Uranium Corp. (CSE: TRAC) recently reported multiple radiometric anomalies at its Aurora Uranium Project, following a comprehensive airborne survey. Given the strategic location of Aurora in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin—a region renowned for its high-grade uranium deposits—these findings hold significant potential for future exploration and investment.
The airborne survey, completed by Special Projects Inc., has revealed radiometric anomalies that may indicate uranium-bearing sources, particularly in proximity to previously identified basement features. This suggests a robust geological framework that could enhance the likelihood of successful drilling outcomes. Moreover, the data derived from this survey supports further geological interpretation, paving the way for targeted exploration efforts.
Investors should view Traction’s option to acquire an 80% interest in the project as a strategic move, especially since it implies commitment without immediate full ownership risk. The plan to conduct ground truthing of selected anomalies will allow the company to validate findings before advancing to drilling stages, which is critical in resource exploration.
From a market perspective, the current findings can rejuvenate interest from investors, as they demonstrate the company's proactive approach in refining target areas. Continuous updates following validation efforts and subsequent drill results will likely be pivotal in maintaining momentum. Traction's progress in identifying high-priority anomalies enhances its value proposition, especially amid increasing demand for uranium driven by global shifts towards cleaner energy sources.
While potential exists, investors must remain mindful of inherent exploration risks, including operational and regulatory challenges. Therefore, maintaining a diversified portfolio or considering gradual investment in Traction might mitigate risks while capitalizing on the promising developments in the uranium sector. The current advancements signal positively for Traction’s trajectory, suggesting monitoring the company closely for updates leading into its next exploration phases.

CALGARY, Alberta, Aug. 04, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Traction Uranium Corp. (CSE: TRAC) (OTC: TRCTF) (FRA: Z1K) (the “Company” or “Traction”) is pleased to report results of the property-wide high-resolution airborne radiometric and magnetic survey at the Aurora Uranium Project (“Aurora” or the “Project”), located in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin region. The survey identified multiple radiometric anomalies interpreted as potentially related to uranium-bearing sources, including several positioned adjacent to or down-ice of prospective basement features previously identified by Cosa Resources Corp. (“Cosa”), the underlying owner and operator of Aurora.
The survey was completed by Calgary-based Special Projects Inc. (“SPI”) under Cosa’s direction and was fully funded by Traction. Traction holds an option to acquire up to an 80% interest in Aurora from Cosa, subject to satisfying certain earn-in requirements (please see the Company’s news release dated February 11, 2026).
Flown at 50-metre line spacing, the survey produced high-resolution radiometric and magnetic datasets across the Project. Several identified radiometric anomalies are adjacent to or down-ice of prospective basement features previously identified by Cosa. The new magnetic data support a higher-resolution interpretation of basement geology. When integrated with the VTEM and airborne gravity-gradient surveys completed by Cosa in 2024, the current survey has identified or upgraded several areas for follow-up. Figure 2 presents the radiometric anomalies in three priority categories together with historical drill holes, conductive electromagnetic responses, an electromagnetic conductor, interpreted magnetic lineaments, gravity-low zones and the A1, A2 and A3 target areas. Ground truthing of selected radiometric anomalies is planned to validate the airborne survey results and assist with target prioritization.
“These results move Aurora from survey acquisition into target refinement,” said Jared Suchan, Chief Executive Officer of Traction. “We can now assess the radiometric anomalies against the geophysical features previously defined across the Project. Our immediate focus is to validate the priority anomalies and complete the integrated interpretation needed to refine targets for a follow-up drill program.”
