Vancouver, British Columbia, March 26, 2026 – TheNewswire – Westward Gold Inc. (CSE: WG, OTCQB:WGLIF, FSE: IM50) (“Westward” or the “Company”) is pleased toannounce the discovery of a deep-seated igneous stock, as indicated bya magnetic survey, near the former northern boundary of its ToiyabeHills Property in Lander County, Nevada (“Toiyabe Hills”, or the “Property”). This new revelationmarks a significant development in the understanding of the Property, and the Company has since expanded its land position northwards tocover additional ground over and adjacent to the concealed magneticintrusion (the “ThreemileStock”), which is situated at depth in the footwall of adistrict-scale north-south structural corridor and mineralizationcontrol (the “HilltopCorridor”). The recently-interpreted magnetic data alsohighlighted major dike swarms that vector towards the Threemile Stock, which explains their presence and suggests the igneous features areconnected at depth. Deep-seated magnetic intrusions of this character,in close association with felsic to lamprophyric dike swarms, form anigneous centre. This unique structural setting is a key component ofthe largest Carlin-style gold camps in Nevada, including theGoldstrike, Pipeline and Cortez Complexes. Additional work is plannedover the coming weeks and months to more precisely define the geometryand characteristics of the Threemile Stock.

A roundtable video discussion featuring Colin Moore (CEO), Dr. QuintonHennigh (Chairman), Kelly Cluer (Director), Robert Edie (VPExploration), and Steve Koehler (Technical Advisor), is availablehere:

In the discussion, Dr. Quinton Hennigh notes: “We have the groundall the way up to the southern edge of the Caetano, and now we haveevidence of an intrusion in that neighbourhood. This is getting veryinteresting. If anything, I think the recent work we’ve done – andthe recognition that we made here – is going to make the Companygoing forward.”

2025 Drone Magnetic Survey &Interpretations:

At the end of the 2025 field season, MWH Geo-Surveys InternationalInc. of Reno, NV (“MWH”)completed a Property-wide drone magnetic survey, flown at 50-metreline spacings and an average altitude of 48 metres. The data acquiredwere then processed and analyzed by Mr. Jim Wright of J.L. WrightGeophysics in Spring Creek, NV, a renowned geophysicist with over 40years of expertise within the Carlin and Cortez Districts of northernNevada. The major findings included an interpreted deep-seated igneousstock near the northern boundary of Toiyabe Hills, intruded into thefootwall of the Hilltop Corridor. Observations consistent with athermal aureole – evidently, the peripheral effects of the ThreemileStock – had previously been made by the Company at the Property, with hornfels alteration mapped at surface and logged in nearby drillholes. Figure 1 below shows total magnetic intensity (TMI) andcombines 2025 MWH magnetic data with inherited legacy data collectedvia fixed-wing surveys in the 1980s and 1990s by Pearson, deRidder andJohnson (“PRJ”) ofLakewood, CO. A step-out drone magnetic survey by MWH – to becompleted imminently – will improve upon the legacy PRJ data to thenorth and more precisely define the dimensions and character of theThreemile Stock.

Note source for geologic mapunderlying magnetic data (Figure 1, right hand side): Colgan, J.P.,Henry, C.D., and John, D.A., 2011, Geologic map of the CaetanoCaldera, Lander and Eureka counties, Nevada: Nevada Bureau of Minesand Geology Map 174, scale 1:75,000, 10 p.

The MWH drone survey defines a complex magnetic landscape; theinterpretation relied on residual magnetics to remove much of theregional slope – allowing for recognition of smaller amplitudefeatures in the data (see Figure 2 below). This led to theidentification of a compelling cluster of short, linear magnetic highscentred in the northern portion of the coverage, interpreted to bedikes. In the centre of the survey’s north area there is also aninteresting east-west oriented intrusive response, proximal to areasof interest as indicated by several other datasets. The dike swarm andsurrounding area is a focal point for intrusive activity, and includesportions of the Company’s 2026 drill targets at the SSD Zone andCampfire.

2026 Land Expansion:

With results from the 2025 drone magnetic survey in hand, the Companyidentified additional available ground proximal to the Threemile Stockand along strike of the Hilltop Corridor. As soon as weatherconditions allowed, 168 unpatented mining claims administered by theU.S. Bureau of Land Management (“BLM”) were staked; Westward’s 100%-ownedfully-contiguous land position is now comprised of 1,015 claimscovering approximately 84 square kilometres (see Figures 3 and 4below). These new claims are not subject to any underlying royaltiesor obligations with the exception of annual maintenance fees payableto the BLM and Lander County.

In addition to the aforementioned step-out drone magnetics survey tobe completed in short order, the new land will also be subject to theCompany’s standard suite of baseline systematic exploration programsover the coming weeks and months. This will include a gravity survey(to tie into the current Property-wide dataset), soil and rock-chipsampling programs, and detailed Anaconda-style geologic and alterationmapping. In addition to the findings of the drone magnetics survey,Westward’s investigation of historical data and literature on thearea suggests it is prospective for Carlin-type gold exploration:

  • Geologic models indicate the edge of the Caetano Caldera displaysattractive exploration characteristics, yet is historicallypoorly-understood

    • Geologic mapping has suggested potential areas where lower-platecarbonate rocks (Paleozoic limestones) crop out at surface – withEocene volcanic rocks having been eroded away. Post-Eocene uplifts, with multiple episodes of tectonic and magmatic activity, are primesettings for larger Carlin-type gold systems. The upcoming gravitysurvey and other systematic mapping campaigns will facilitateidentification of zones where Paleozoic carbonate rocks lie at shallowdepths.

    • Legacy samples and sketch mapping over the newly-staked groundindicate hornfels and other calc-silicate alteration zones, inaddition to altered dikes.

  • The new claims cover mapped historical mining prospects, in additionto apparent legacy drilling of a colour anomaly that spans Paleozoicsedimentary rocks and Tertiary volcanic rocks.

  • The presence of old road cuts and trenches on the ground (fromcompanies that pre-date Westward) is an advantage that will greatlybenefit upcoming mapping and sampling efforts.
