DIS - 'Dune' repeats as box-office leader while 'Halloween Kills' out-scares rivals
Dune (T +0.5%) held enough business at the box office in its second weekend to lead grosses, and Halloween Kills (CMCSA +1.7%) out-scared Halloween competition to follow closely behind. Business for Dune declined 62% to $15.5 million, still good enough to lead a slower weekend at movie theaters. And the next few films also came in order of release, with Halloween Kills adding $8.5 million to bring its domestic cumulative total to $85.6 million, and Bond film No Time to Die (OTC:MGMB) drawing $7.8 million to make its cumulative figure $133.3 million. Meanwhile, two horror films looking to do some business on the scary weekend disappointed instead.
