The last few weeks have been dominated by increasing concerns around the jobs market. Last Friday's BLS jobs report showed less than one third the jobs were created in August than expectations. June and July jobs numbers were also revised down. Tuesday of this week brought a massive (911,000) downward revision to estimated job positions from March 2024 to March 2025. This followed an 818,000-job reduction from March 2023 to March 2024 in August of last year.
