AFTPY - Afterpay basket size rose 30% during 2020 holiday season
Afterpay (AFTPY) announced that the average basket size for its customers in the US increased by 30% Y/Y in 2020 Holiday shopping seasons.The company's brand partners saw a strong traffic growth, driven by 145% Y/Y increase in referrals to global merchants from its Shop Directory. Alex Fisher, VP of Retail for Afterpay said: "As shoppers returned to stores this holiday season, we saw a rise in services like Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) and contactless payments. The total number of customers signed up to Afterpay in the US now exceeds 13M and the total number of global retail partners is nearly 64K with a strong pipeline of new merchants preparing to launch in 2021.
