Nuance Communications, Inc. ( NasdaqGS:NUAN ) has announced that Rush University Medical Center has expanded its use of the Nuance Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX) ambient clinical intelligence (ACI) solution to 14 clinical specialties. According to the press release, this expansion will help in relieving "the burden of clinical documentation and physician burnout, while improving the patient experience during in-person and telehealth visits." Diana Nole, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Healthcare at Nuance, said:

WPD Pharmaceuticals Inc. ( CSE:WBIO ) has announced a collaboration with medical imaging firm Image Analysis Group (IAG) to deploy AI and Quantitative Imaging to provide important critical imaging services during the Berubicin phase 2 clinical trials. Diana Dupont-Roettger, Chief Scientific Alliance Officer of IAG, explained:
"The integration of advanced imaging and AI driven image analysis will prevent a false response assessment in patients experiencing pseudo-progression and thereby enhance the efficacy read out of Berubicin, avoid early patient drop-out and save costs. IAG is excited to collaborate with WPD and to support the clinical development with optimal imaging trial design, efficient imaging data management and response assessment."
