AHPI - Allied Healthcare gains amid social media chatter

With a 25.1% gain in the pre-market, healthcare equipment maker Allied Healthcare Products (NASDAQ:AHPI) has continued its recent rally as investor interest in the nano-cap stock picked up on social media. According to data tracking the mentions of ticker symbols on social media, Allied Healthcare (AHPI) is currently among the top five stocks with the highest number of mentions on Twitter. St. Louis, Missouri-based company with face masks and respiratory care equipment in its product portfolio surged as much as ~54.7% on Friday despite market selloff caused by the concerns over the newly found Omicron variant of COVID-19. While the stock pared back some of the gains on Monday, falling ~15.9%, it remains elevated by ~30.1% over the five days, as shown in the graph below. During the three months ending Sep. 30, Allied Healthcare (AHPI) reported a $984K net loss on $7.4M revenue.
